The Bible states that God 'was wrath' toward sinners because of disobedience and that punishment was unavoidable. Some theologians believe
that God needed to vent/satisfy His 'wrath' over sin by placing the debt of punishment on His Son
Jesus. Some believe God insisted that Christ be crucified on the cross in order to satiate divine
